Economics (including basic economic theory)

Economics as a specialty was originated in the Department of Political Economics in June 1941. In 2001, in order to adapt to the needs of discipline development and personnel training under the new situation, an undergraduate training base for basic economic scientific research and teaching personnel was established. It was approved, in 2007, by Gansu Province as a base for fundamental economic research and teaching (referred to as the economic base class). It aims at producing students with comprehensive talent and personal development, endowing them with a solid foundation in economic theory, broad knowledge, strong analytical and research capacity and innovative thinking, and focusing on an integration of theory with practice.
